Alex Simpson is a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in the construction industry. Living and working in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, Alex is a Construction Manager with BCPM Limited, where he’s also the Managing Director. He joined the company more than four years ago, where, in his roles as Construction Manager, his responsibilities include the day to day management of all aspects of the company’s operations. This includes staff management, budgets, tendering, project design, subcontractor control, and client negotiations and interactions. He also manages the team at BCPM, comprising 50 subcontractors and 120 employees.
Prior to joining BCPM Limited, Alex Simpson was with SKS Developments Limited in Papua New Guinea, where he served as Country Manager for four years. While in this role, Alex had a number of responsibilities; these included performing complex reviews of specifications and plans during the preconstruction phase, developing a team of experienced and highly skilled industry professionals to complete the requirements outlined by client briefs, and conducting detailed evaluations and reviews of the business strategies and plans to maximize cost-effectiveness.
Before his time with SKS Developments, Alex Simpson spent eight years with SimCorp Developments as their Managing Director, supervising the team of 15 staff and 100 subcontractors in their day to day operations and was integral in developing the Green field project from its inception to completion. Prior to SimCorp, Alex Simpson was with Blue Ridge Developments as a Project Manager, where he was accountable for audits that helped ensure the highest quality of standards were being met all across the business and coordinated the daily operations of the business.

Alex Simpson attended TAFE NSW Higher Education, where he earned his certificate in Scaffolding and later – from the South Western Sydney Institute – in Concreting. He also earned his Advanced Diploma from TAFE NSW Higher Education in Building, Building Construction Technology, Building Studies, and Construction. In 2011, he returned to TAFE Queensland, where he earned his Advanced Diploma of Building and Building Construction Technology.
